Big beers, low efficiency

Just wondering if I'm missing something here...

We run around 80-85% efficiency on our normal strength beers but drop to 60% or so for our big beers: 1080+

My understanding from past brewing is that this is the norm, you can't get big beers without a drop in efficiency. However, is there a way to increase efficiency on big beers while still maintaining normal processes?

Yes, use sugar based adjuncts that you add at the end of/after boiling. This can be anything from dextrose or candy sugar to malt extract or high maltose corn syrup.
